Launch of Health Legacy from the Beijing 2008 Olympics

Our film team visited Beijing for the launch of the report and book "The Health Legacy of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games". Professor Arne Ljungqvist is one of the authors/editors together with Dr Jin Dapeng, Beijing Municipal Health Bureau, and Dr Hans Troedsson, WHO. This is the first health legacy conducted by an organizing committe, covering the measures taken on anti-doping, air cleaning, water security, vector control, tobacco control, HIV campaign, preparations for terrorist attacks and other issues are described thoroughly as a document of knowledge available for other mass gathering events around the world in times to come.

It puts focus on the connection between sports and common health and the responsibilities given the parties organizing a mass gathering event.
