The Caster Semenya case, Miami Beach

A meeting with scientists and experts from various fields gathered in Miami Beach in order to discuss sex gender consequences and possible future frameworks in order to be able to set up guidelines to avoid unfortunate situations as with female South African sprinter Caster Semenya at the Berlin World Championship in August 2009. The meeting was a joint meeting arranged by the IOC and IAAF. The attention prior to the meeting was intense but no media was invited or allowed to participate. Our team was the only film team accredited at the location. We could get access to the participants outside the actual meeting room and made a few interviews at site.
