Screening and panel at Pepperdine University, Los Angeles


The Foundation for Global Sports Development invited TWOD to screen the film at a symposium at the distinguished "School of Law" at Pepperdine University, Malibu, California. After film was screened and a Q&A-session was held, an amazing line up of speakers (GSD, IOC/WADA, INTERPOL, ESPN, Hastings Institute, UCLA, IOC-Lab, Olympic sports athletes, Ted Friedman Lab) in two panels joined in to discuss the subjects of the symposium. It was moderated by the two ESPN journalists Mark Fainaru-Wada and T.J. Quinn. The War On Doping was announced and screened at the symposium.

After the screening a Q&A session was moderated by Jeffrey Benz, general counsel, managing director of legal and government affairs and secretary for the United States Olympic Committee and TWOD's Producer Bjorn Bertoft answered questions asked by the audience.

Represented in the first panel were T.J Quinn (ESPN), Dr Steven Ungerleider (GSD), Professor Arne Ljungqvist (IOC/WADA), Tom Murray (Hastings), Carie Graves (Olympian Medalist - Rowing), Dr Don Catlin (UCLA).

Second panel moderated by Mark Fainaru-Wada (ESPN) with Martial Saugy (Lausanne IOC-lab), Mathieu Holz (Interpol), Crissy Perham (Olympian Medalist - Swimming), Ted Friedmann (Ted Friedman Gene Lab), and Richard McLaren (Western Law University)

At the event an award was announced to Professor Ljungqvist to honor his more than 40 years devotion and fight against doping in sport. An official award ceremony will be held at the Sotchi Olympic Games in February 2014.
